WildCare's After-hours Emergency Line is answered from 5pm - 9pm by wonderful, knowledgeable, and very dedicated volunteers.
This position involves a commitment of one, 4-hour shift per week on a regularly-scheduled evening. You'll answer the Emergency Line from your own cell phone (the line will be forwarded, or you will log into the 8x8 app to answer calls) and you will answer and provide assistance to callers from 5pm until 9pm.
This volunteer opportunity offers you a chance to REALLY make a difference for animals — our E-Line team saves lives every single day.
This is also a tremendous opportunity to increase your knowledge of wildlife, WildCare's Wildlife Hospital, and what to do in any situation involving an injured animal. All training is provided, and your friends will be amazed at everything you'll know and the stories you'll hear! :)
We are offering an E-Line Orientations via Zoom to give you a deeper look at the volunteer position, the training, and the types of calls you'll handle.
Join us on Wednesday, July 7 at 7pm for a 30-minute introduction to answering the E-Line.
